Fantastic book, with perhaps the most neutral treatment of Stalin's wartime contributions you'll ever find. The author, Geoffrey Roberts (in typical Western fashion) acknowledges Stalin's alleged "crimes" while also providing equal evidence to his immense contributions during World War 2 - he even argues that the Soviets may not have won w/o Stalin.
